I generally have 1 whole egg with one egg white scrambled, a few strawberries and a cup of coffee.
I take fat soluble vitamins so I have some food and fats in the morning.

I find it difficult to eat breakfast. As soon as I start to eat, I find myself looking for my next meal. I've been able to hold back from eating until dinner time (besides coffee or diet soda).

I wish I could do that because I am not really hungry either. But I take medications that require me to eat and also eat some kind of fat. So I eat eggs and sometimes add strawberries as something sweet. However, the protein in the eggs keeps me satisfied till dinner. I will eat a small apple in the afternoon if I get hungry.

Now, as more time has passed being on the 5:2, I'm finding the eating schedule that works best for me. Unless something special/different is planned, I feel best (on my fast days and also on my feasting days) to have a late lunch (like 2-3pm) and a late dinner (7-8pm) while keeping myself occupied/active before 2 pm. I think everyone has a different body clock regarding eating and this diet helps you find the personalized eating habits that work best for you while opening your eyes to a new awareness of calories, portions, and snacking.

Exactly! I am finding the same thing. I have decided to eat only enough to take my meds in the morning....then not eat till much later. I am just not hungry in the mornings. I am also finding that on my "non fast days" I am not eating as much as I use to. I don't know if it is psychological or it's a result of a shrinking stomach. I guess it does not matter. It is helping with the weight loss and that's all I care about. I think this diet is teaching me a whole new way and I believe I have some permanent habits to keep my weight stable from here on in.

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and have been on the 5:2 plan for 2 weeks along with my husband. We both love the plan, although haven't lost weight yet. We both have found that our hunger varies a bit on our fast days, but has been very tolerable. I like to make herbal teas and drink them throughout the day...my fav's are Hibiscus (very good for heart health) and Lavender/Chamomile. I do add stevia to both as after researching the effects of stevia on insulin production, haven't found it to be an issue. I have 15 to 20 lbs to lose, my husband only 10. I do admit the first week for me was spent splurging a bit on foods I haven't eaten in years, which pretty much defeated the purpose. Generally we eat a very clean and healthy diet and only consume about 1600 to 1800 calories per day. Also workout several times a week. We are very patient and hopeful that in the next few weeks we will see some changes both in our bodies and on the scale. I'll keep you all posted!
