Some of my snacks are: cut up strawberries and apples! I use those as something sweet after a meal.

Baby carrots, cucumbers, a cup of hot broth You sound like me...add to that "radishes, celery and strawberries". There really isn't much to munch on is there? LOL I'd love to have a 0 calorie hard candy to have in my mouth at all times. I have an oral fixation which is why I am over weight. I use to smoke years ago and replaced that with constant munching. So on fast days. I savor the celery stixs.

I've just discovered radishes this week - didn't realize how much I love them! haha Celery is wonderful for dipping in salsa or my roasted pepper/nofat sourcream dip. I too used to smoke - I empathize completely with the munchy thing. I've just passed my 3rd fasting day. Psychologically this "diet" ROCKS!

I will have to try that one. I am finding a new appreciation for "raw veggies". I also love "honey crisp" apples. They are so sweet and a great afternoon snack. I love that my hubby is now doing this with me too. It makes "fasting days" a lot easier if we are both eating the same thing.

My husband is doing it with me too except he is not eating at all on his fast days whereas I'm having the 500 calories. I'm starting to call my fasting day my "broccoli" day. I keep it cooked and ready to eat in the fridge. Hot with lemon juice or cold with a little olive oil and vinegar. It's been a lifesaver!

I don't think I could handle that! Like I've said, I take meds so I I have to eat something. Your broccoli idea sounds like my "string bean" snack. I cook them up an leave in the fridge too. I like "crispy" things for snacks so "pickles, radishes, celery, and apples do it for me. I guess I could eat the string beans raw for a crispy snack too. Thanks for sharing.
