Hi, all , I just started my second week of the diet...doing Mon & Thur so my third fast day was yesterday and so far I have not gotten hungry...I do drink a lot of water and know that helps. Looks like this board is the new kid on the block and am glad I found it ( Bing search)as the one in the UK is really nice but I think we need our USA one..Thanks for giving it to us... I am seventy one and have tried every diet known to man and so far I must admit this diet is unbelievably simple and seems like one a person could follow for life easier than a lot of the others and MUCH less expensive... The first week I lost five lbs ( always lose more at the start) and a notch on my belt ( that was quicker than others)so off to a great start... Looking forward to working with everybody and have passed this on to others.. hefs

Like you, I did a search for forums and all I could find was the ones in the UK. While they are good, they don't speak the same language...such as weight measurements and food items that we can't find here. They are still useful and I go there sometimes but I wanted to give those here in the US a forum they can relate to. This board is very very new....I am working hard at getting members so please bare with us. Looks like you have done very well with this diet so far. I know I have lost 8 lbs so far myself. I love this diet! Stop back soon.

I started the 5:2 diet with IF last week, lost 2 lbs. I fasted Wed. And Friday. I am too busy to worry about what to eat on fast days, So I went to Subway and bought 2-Salads (chopped turkey and ham, all the veggies but no olives or pickles, red wine vinegar) and 1- 6" turkey sub on wheat. They say this totals 500 calories. First day ate a salad at 2pm, sub at 6 pm, and salad a 8 pm. Second fast day did better. Ate 1 salad at 3 pm and sub at 7 pm and skipped having the second salad and had a sip of milk. Drank water and diet teas. On non-fast days ate normally, didn't even think diet. Will see what next week brings.

Will see what next week brings. Thanks for sharing that. I know what you mean about having the time to figure out what to eat. I have my meals down at this point. 7 weeks and I am down 9 lbs. I generally eat the same things on "fast" days...it keeps it less complicated. I eat normal the other days but found that I am eating less for some reason. Please stop back now and then and let us know how the diet is going for ya!
