Some people are not sure if they can exercise on "fast days" Here is an explanation for those questions... Exercising on 5:2 Fast

I must add that you cannot add more calories to your "fast day" just because you worked out. There is a reason for this. To gain the most health benefits from this intermittent fast you need to have very limited food going into your system to be digested, regardless of how many calories you burn.

I signed up for beginner Zumba on Wednesday and went twice this week. I felt like an idiot not having a clue and following other people's feet (while trying NOT to see myself in the mirror), but the 2nd day was better than the first day and hopefully next week will be better each day. It's some workout and quite cardiovascular!

I hope the issues lessen with about 20 more lbs of weight loss, then I might give it a go myself. Good for you! It will keep you motivated too.

One of my daughter's is a Zumba instructor (on top of working full time elsewhere) and she just loves it. There are several instructional youtube videos that I peeked at for a while to try to get an idea what it even is. My husband got me a 5 DVD Zumba set for Mother's Day but unfortunately I've been sick since I received it. I did feel well enough today to look at it, lol. I think I'm going to love it though I look pretty bad doing it.

Zumba really helps with weight loss.

I'm into my 2nd week of Zumba. You don't realize how bad your cardiovascular system is til you try Zumba. And my classes are Zumba Gold/Beginners! I was checking out the beginning Zumbas on YouTube too and it really has helped me understand a lot of the moves/steps that I'm doing in the regular class. Cyn, I saw that 5 DVD Zumba set on Amazon just yesterday and am seriously thinking about buying it for myself. Let me know what you think about it okay? Wanna come over and do it together?? I wish!

Stephie, glad you found help on youtube. There are a couple there that are quite good at explaining. I was going to buy the Zumba Gold but the reviews I read said people "outgrew" them quickly so I opted for the others. I will let you know how I like them as soon as I get over whatever it is I have. My husband was sick for 2 weeks with it, ugh. I would LOVE to come over or have you over to do Zumba with me!!! I'm in Massachusetts-come soon! Barbara, you can come too!

Go to profile then to the right there is an "edit profile" button. Go in there and up top there is tap that says "personal", click on that then scroll down to the area where it says "location". Just put your state in there. Hope this helps.

Wouldn't that be a hoot if we could all form a Zumba group. Have to do it via "skype" LOL I live in New Jersey!

New Jersey and Massachusetts..........I'm in Florida now, but I'm in upstate NY for the summer months 1/2 hour north of Albany. Barb, my stepson and his family live in Blairstown, NJ. I'm going to go add my state(s) to my profile now. I hope this is something that others can see too.......? Cause when I went to check both your profiles to see where you lived, it didn't show up. I'll try again now. Thx.
Fast day today. I had made Barb's delicious 75 calorie per cup veggie soup last week and I'm sooooooo glad I froze some of it so I can have it again today. My husband absolutely loved it too!

Next I am going to make the "Carrot potato" soup. Not sure how that one will freeze. I will make only a small batch at first.
